Tax and Customs Department, Ministry of Finance

The Tax and Customs Department at the Ministry of Finance is divided into six units and consists of just over 90 employees, of which four to five are assistants. The department is responsible for legislation primarily in the areas of taxes, customs, and collection, and participates in international cooperation in tax and customs matters, including within the EU. The department also calculates the effects of changes in regulations in the tax and customs area.

We are now looking for one or more assistants to provide administrative support to the department's managers and employees. The tasks include ongoing case management such as handling the distribution of cases and decisions within the Government Offices, sending and receiving referrals, administering interpellations and parliamentary questions, as well as dispatching government and Government Offices decisions, but also, for example, booking and assisting at meetings and compiling materials for meetings. It may also involve contributing to department-wide tasks and processes, such as invoice management and booking and preparations for conferences, either with your own responsibility or together with other assistants in the department. As an assistant, you will be organizationally part of one of the units in the department, but you may assist several units with administrative support. The work will be carried out in close collaboration with managers, employees, and other assistants in the department.

Your background

We believe that you who are applying have relevant secondary education and have worked as an assistant, administrative support, or similar service in an office environment. Furthermore, you have good IT skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You also have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. If you also have experience working as administrative support within the Government Offices, a government agency, or other public sector, experience in booking and arranging meetings and conferences, as well as experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Proceedo, we consider this an advantage.

To succeed and thrive in the role, we believe that you are meticulous, structured, and have a strong ability to plan and organize. You are proactive, service-oriented, and enjoy collaborating. You have the ability to be flexible and can quickly adapt to new tasks and changing conditions. It is advantageous if you have an interest in developing administrative routines and processes.

Other

The recruitment concerns one or two positions for permanent employment. Start date in August 2025. A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
